II. Initial Image Processing Using Mira, MaxIm DL, CCD Soft
or similar program
- A. Subtract Standard Bias Image from all raw images.
- B. Perform Dark Subtraction on all raw images.
- C. Perform Flat Field Division on all raw images.
- D. Perform any needed image processing routines on the
raw images: e.g., contrast enhancement...
- F. Image Conversion: convert individual R, G(V), B, and
L (B&W) images to TIFF format or grayscale format.
III. Production of Final Color Image Using PhotoShop or
similar program
- A. Merge individual R, G, B, and L Tiff or grayscale
images into a single RGB color image.
- B. Manipulate R, G, B, and L components of the RGB image
to make a properly registered color image.
- C. Perform any needed processing routine on the RGB
color image.
- D. Save final color image as TIFF format, JPEG, GIF, or
PhotoShop format image.
- E. Send TIFF or PhotoShop image to output device.
IV. Production of Color Image for Display
- A. Photograph computer screen to make either slides or
prints.
- B. Produce a paper print with a high quality black &
white or color printer.
- C. Incorporate the image into a PowerPoint presentation
or for display on a web site.
