Arp60; PGC46054
Arp60 and Arp196
are both supposed to be in this field according to
MegaStar 4.0. There may be an error in their listing.
One of them might be the faint galaxy near the center,
and the other might be the faint galaxy near the upper
right hand corner.

Note:
Supernova SN2003B is the star just to the East (left) of
the small companion galaxy NGC1097a. The supernova is
not present on the black & white image taken in 1998.
SN2003 was discovered 5 January 03. This image was taken
10 January 03.
This image was taken on October 25, 2008 with a QSI
532 camera.
The two galaxies
at the top of the picture are IC982+983 (Arp117). The
small spiral galaxy at the bottom of the picture is
NGC5490C (Arp79. The tiny galaxy in the lower right
hand corner is MCG+3-36-64.

The two galaxies
in the center of the image constitute Arp90. The galaxy
in the upper right hand corner is UGC9857.
This image was taken at the 3towers Observatory with its
12-inch LX 200 telescope. It shows the relationship of
Arp 99 (NGC7550), center, to NGC7549, top, and NGC7547,
to the right of Arp99. NGC7558 is the small elliptical
galaxy near the lower left hand corner. This entire
complex plus a faint galaxy to the left of NGC7549 is
known as Hickson 98A-E.
